Plan Review And Approval With Task Tracking
Plan reviews conducted via email and using scattered file storage systems create a significant amount of work when it comes to version control, approvals and change tracking. Poolar.Project centralises the review process within the project workspace: plans and review instances are consolidated into review packages, review points are assigned, and approval steps are managed transparently. The actual plan review can be carried out flexibly using existing planning tools and then uploaded to Poolar.Project and stamped. It is even more convenient to carry out the review directly in the integrated online editor.

Save Time, Reduce Communication Problems

„The planning review has proven to be incredibly helpful for us throughout the process. In our project, we were able to save time because everyone knew exactly who was responsible for reviewing what and when. There was no searching or unnecessary waiting – the step-by-step assignment happened automatically. The overview and logging of all review steps tie everything together and eliminate the need for additional documentation.“

Concise Answers to Questions About the Plan Review Function in Poolar.Project
Plan review involves the digital review, annotation, stamping and approval of drawings within the central project workspace. Drawing versions, review stages, deadlines and results are consolidated within a structured workflow, rather than being scattered across emails, individual documents and manual lists.
It reduces the coordination effort involved in dealing with plan versions, approvals and changes being sent back for revision. It provides planning, project management, the client and construction project management teams with a consistent overview of which plan has been checked, what comments have been made and what the current status is. The review can be carried out using either your own tools or the integrated online editor.
The plan review process combines version-controlled plan storage, a review workflow, task management and documentation within a single project workspace. As a result, the plan review becomes part of an end-to-end CDE process rather than being managed as a separate email or file storage process.
A test run determines which plans are to be checked, which stakeholders are involved, and the logic according to which the check is carried out. Depending on the project requirements, review steps can be set up as single-stage or multi-stage, and can run in parallel or sequentially. Traditional review using your own tools, without using the integrated online editor, is possible.
Review packages bring together the relevant plans and review stages into a clearly defined process. This makes it easier to manage, evaluate and document individual review processes – particularly in large-scale projects involving numerous plan versions and stakeholders.
Notes, sketches, comments and attachments can be added directly to the plan. This ensures that feedback remains technically accurate, clearly located and linked to the relevant plan version, which facilitates coordination between building design, specialist design and project management.
Inspection stamps can be generated automatically and assigned to the relevant inspection steps. Once stamps, comments and other inspection information have been entered, they are logged so that approvals and inspection decisions remain traceable at a later date.
Plan versions are identified using definable file-naming conventions and managed in a structured manner. The PDF comparison viewer also helps to highlight differences between two PDF versions and identify changes more quickly.
Tasks from the plan review are displayed on the dashboard and linked to their status, deadlines and responsibilities. List views, filters and search functions make it easier to locate outstanding review points, overdue tasks or specific review packages.
Yes. The integrated online editor allows you to edit documents directly within the PDF viewer. Checkpoints, markings, notes, sketches and supplementary attachments can be added directly to the document without having to take the review process out of the project workspace.
