Grown Step by Step
2007–2012
The Idea and the New Beginning
Klaus Schwägerl and Dr.-Ing. Matthias Friedle, architects and engineers respectively, are developing a user-friendly software solution for collaboration on construction projects. A milestone in this phase is one of the first large-scale projects, involving the management of over 120,000 planning documents. From 2012, Poolarserver becomes multi-platform compatible, with the launch of the first app for Poolar.Project. The GbR is converted into a GmbH; the groundwork for the next phase is laid.
2013–2022
Growth and Structure
The company is gradually becoming more professional: the team is growing into clearly defined departments (Development, Customer Support), processes are being structured, and the focus is shifting towards integrated workflows. We move into our central premises at Milaneo. BIM is becoming a key topic across the industry. New features such as BCF Issues and Poolar.Office as a second app are added to our portfolio.
2023–present
Shaping the Future
New ownership structure and management; the founders remain active on the advisory board. A new office is opened in Switzerland, and Poolar becomes the new brand. Our team grows to over 60 staff. Poolar.Project is reimagined: with AI voice and image recognition – smarter, faster, more intuitive.
